- The WELL 3500 wire saw is a versatile model commonly used in laboratories. The cut is made by the movement of the wire on a workpiece that is bonded or clamped to a fixed support. This feed is automatically achieved by gravity. The pressure exerted by the cutting tool (the diamond wire) on the sample is adjustable. The feed speed is determined by the resistance of the material, which is thus not subjected to mechanical stress.
